S-E-X , this three letter word is still a taboo in India. Folks and teachers normally hesitate to discuss such topics at homes and schools as they consider it as undebatable and dirty topic. Politician too discourage this topic because they consider it against indian tradition.
During adolescence a child's body go through many changes and hence they are confused about these changes and hence seek for answers. But no answers provided to them may leave them in dismay and confused .
Lack of education may lead to unwanted pregnancies if teenage girl and may also expose them to STDs . Pregnancies outside wedlock is not acceptable in the Indian societies , consequently pregnant girls opt for illegal and unsafe abortion and if they fail to abort their child they may even commit suicide .
Believing it's a western tradition and is unnecessarily forced upon Indian education system politician discourages the practise of sex education in India . As a result sex education is banned in Goa , Maharashtra ,Kerala, Madhya Pradesh and Adhra Pradesh.
